POPOCALYPTIC
These photo artworks were the ones that I exhibited at the Ayala Museum last December 11. The idea came from the creation Album cover artworks, how interesting the vinyl ones decades ago were.
Prior to that I conceptualized the album cover of The Camerawalls’ Bread & Circuses, which Karlo Rono helped out with the layout and photography and Angelo Maniquis took over with the treatment that their record label requires.
That was my first album cover (not counting my cartoon of Rivermaya’s Between the stars and waves, which wouldn’t have been accepted anyway, haha). I thought that if I were to see an album, these were what it would look like.
I have been aware of Doomsday since I was 9. I do a lot of research since this topic greatly interests me. I wouldn’t impose my knowledge, but I know what I believe in and all I can say is that we shouldn’t be scared.
Because it isn’t scary to me, I decided to whimsically visualize my version of what “The Almost End of The World to Me” would look like.
I call this set Popocalyptic…. and I am currently attempting to release another batch by December 2011 and then the last by December 2012.
If I don’t, then I don’t. In the end, no material things or amount of recognition will matter, anyway.

GALING!
